Nozzle Care
For best results, use soft or distilled water to prevent nozzles from clogging, particularly if you live in an area with hard water. Adding a few drops of water softener to the water in the reservoir is also helpful.

How to replace or clean your filter.
Periodic cleaning of the filter inside the base unit is required. To clean or remove:
- With dry hands and feet and standing on dry ground, unplug Friji Fan.
- Remove the water reservoir.
- Using tweezers or needle nose pliers, remove the filter that is inside the base unit, shown in Figure 5.
- Rinse the filter with clean water, or dispose of the old filter if it shows wear.
- Replace the filter.

How to replace fan nozzles.
Remove old nozzle:
- Using a small Phillips head screwdriver, turn screws counter clockwise to loosen. To guard against losing the screws, do not remove the screws from the holes at this time.
- Grasp the nozzle with your hand, tweezers or needle nose pliers and pull the nozzle straight out.
- Save the screws for use with the new nozzle.
Insert new nozzle:
CAUTION: Do not put any pressure on the metal part of the nozzle.
- Grasp the new nozzle by the white plastic.
- Insert the nozzle straight into the nozzle hole. Applying light pressure to the white plastic part of the nozzle, press it into place.
- Remove the screws from the old nozzle and insert into the screw holes of the new nozzle.
Turning clockwise, tighten screws with a Phillips head screwdriver.
